So I guess I've been a bit slack in keeping allayall up to date on what I've been up to? Here's a few of the more exciting new things that have been going on around here...

:bulletgreen: New Kids! :happybounce: 
The biggest excitement is not actually about these goat kids (Vimes, on the left, and Lady Ramkin), but the real-to-goodness HUMAN KID that's due to arrive at the end of this month! It's been a whirl, I'm not even sure how to process that information, let alone the idea of becoming someone's dad. But suffice to say I can't remember anything that I've looked forward to more.

:bulletgreen: New Job! La la la la 
It seemed to take many millions of time and paperwork, but I managed to score a new job in a factory near here. It's nothing flash, lumping boxes about, but it pays decently well and the schedule is four days on followed by a massive four days off at a stretch. A big step up from the 12-days-in-14 workweek I've been stuck with. That means HEAPS MUCH TIME TO ART. I think I've already done more drawing in the last month than I produced in the entirety of 2013. Friggin' game-changer is what it is.

:bulletgreen: New(ish) Art! Ahooooy Matey! 
Having half my time to myself to spend any which way I want means, for you guys, a whole stackton more art comng from these here hands. Some is already done, and on its way to the interwebs as I write-- the rest is wending its way into existence in the coming weeks. I have ALL OF THE PLANS. Stay tuned.

Hello watchers; old faithfuls and new followers! It's been a long time coming. I've missed you guys. But it's time. The stars have aligned. Conditions are perfect.

I'm back.

This last, what, year? Two years? Man, it's been forever. But all of the things have happened since. Gave up everything I enjoyed to pursue a career I never wanted. Took a long time and a fair bit of pain, but eventually came to my senses, ditched the doldrums, married my girl Asha-ts and moved to the country to start a proper life. And one step on that path is this-- getting back into creating art.

I never really stopped, not completely, so thankfully I've managed to keep my hand in; but what I've missed is being able to engage with other people, to collaborate, spin tales, bounce ideas back and forth. Just stopped allotting the time for it. But no more! Let the arting recommence!

Looking forward to hanging out with alla y'all again-- renewing some old comradeships, and also to getting to know somma the people who've joined the adventure over the last wee while. Thanks for sticking around, folks!

I love you all. Serious guys.

It's pretty simple, really. I have the best friends and family I could possibly ask for. I turned 25 last month-- the big quarter cench-- and blow me down if my lovely girlfriend Asha-ts hasn't banded together with my parents and let me buy myself a graphics tablet with their money. The people that surround me are incredible for other reasons too, I merely present this as a sort of gold-standard of awesomeness so that you can see why I appreciate my family as I do.

I'm now the proud owner of a Lenovo thinkpad with a fair proportion of the trimmings. I'm pretty friggin' excited, I can tell you.

Yeah that's right, I'm bringing this thing back.

In light of my total lack of working experience with digital drawing, I'm obviously keen to get as much drawing under my belt as I can possibly cram in between classes, mealtimes, the breaks between traffic lights, and so on. With that in mind, I'm offering free sketches for anyone who asks. They'll be nothing flash, of course, but show me your signature character, your main OC or whatever-- so much as comment somewhere on my stuff-- and I will find any excuse to throw something together. You'd be doing me a favour!

I haven't forgotten this site. It's been a long time since I was anything like active around here and I've missed you lot.

Life, the universe, and other nonsense


Life continues to be a mixture of stress, work, busy-ness, and enjoyment. School drags on, by something like six months longer than I'd like it to do so. We'll get there though. I've got yet another new flat and a plan for my most ambitious loft bed construction yet: full seven foot high and armour plated.* Looking forward to it.

Saw Avengers last night. An all-round positive experience.
